Need Opinions Before We Change Our Test Setup
Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great day. I wanted to get some advice after an interesting discussion in our workshop this week. We were testing a newly repaired machine that required different voltage levels during calibration, and our first thought was to modify the existing electrical setup. Before we went ahead, one of the senior technicians suggested using a Variable Autotransformer so we could adjust the voltage gradually without making permanent changes to the system. It sounded like a practical solution, but I’ve never used one myself. For those who have hands-on experience, did it make testing easier, and are there any limitations that caught you by surprise?
